Korean Embassy to be opened in Baku

"Azerbaijan supports further strengthening of the relations with the Korean Republic," Elmar Mammadyarov, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, said at reception of Khaiong Mun, the Korean Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

The Minister mentioned existence of the wide opportunities for the effective cooperation of our countries in many spheres, including, economy. He stated that Azerbaijan attached great importance to the cooperation with the Korean Republic and the Azerbaijani Embassy would be open in the country soon, Trend reports.

"The relationship between the both countries develops in the line of ascent," Mun said. The Ambassador stressed that Korea was interested in deepening of the cooperation with Azerbaijan in economy, energy, construction, electronics, information technologies, as well as strengthening of business ties. He highly appreciated the visit of Mammadyarov to Korea in 2005 and the protocol on cooperation between the Foreign Ministries, undersigned within the visit.

Touching upon marking of the Korean Culture Days in Baku in 2005, Mun noted that similar events stimulate development of the cultural ties between the two peoples. The Ambassador also underlined that he supported organization of such events hence. Mun said that Korean Embassy would be open in Baku soon.
