Chair of CE Congress of local and regional authorities to visit Azerbaijan

Johanni di Stazi will meet with the Foreign Minister, the Deputy Justice Minister and the chairman of the Central Elections Commission, Trend reports.

The chairman of the Congress will discuss the preparations for the by-elections in 135 municipal institutions, where the results of December polls in 2004 were recognized as invalid.

As a constituent part of dialogue of the leadership of the CE congress of the local and regional authorities with the South Caucasus countries Stazi intends to invite the heads of the executive powers of the three capital cities (Baku, Tbilisi and Yerevan) to participate in a roundtable in Strasbourg.
