Jonathan Henick: "There are no US military forces in Azerbaijan"

"US military forces don’t exist in Azerbaijan. The information spread in the press that US military men have taken Nakhchivan Airport under control is false," US embassy Public Affairs Officer Jonathan Henick said.

He told APA that no agreement was reached on stationing forces in Nakhchivan airport. Representative of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (AR) in Baku Rashad Gulamov refuted the report that Nakhchivan airport is under the control of US military forces in his statement to APA: "Planes of any foreign countries are not stationed at Nakhchivan Airport."

"Yeni Musavat" newspaper published that US military forces have been stationed in Nakhchivan Airport and will attack Iran from the airport.
