Communications Minister to visit Pakistan

Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijan Minister for Communications and Information Technologies, left for Pakistan with an official visit the Ministry announced on Monday.

The key objective of the visit is to attend the 12th General Assembly of the permanent commission of the Organization for Islamic Conference on the scientific and technical cooperation to be held in Islamabad from 21 to 25 February, Trend reports.

The Azerbaijani minister will deliver a speech on the reforms and measures to be taken in the sphere of application of information technologies in science.

On the eve of the conference Abbasov is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with his Pakistani counterpart, as well as ministers of the member-states of the conference.

Besides, the ministers participating in the event will also meet with Pakistani President Parviz Musharraf.
