"Forest brothers" has support in Azerbaijan

As APA reports, strong support of a terrorist organization called "Forest brothers" exist in the southern parts of Dagestan. Some of the radicals of "Sadval" are members of this organization. They are being supplied with religious literature and theory of jihad brought from Arabic countries. The organization is reported to have supporters in northern regions of Azerbaijan.

The "Forest brothers" which committed several terror and diversion acts in Dagestan, also has foundations in Kabardino-Balkaria, Ingushetia, Northern Osetia and in other subjects.

It wasn't possible to expose the network of the "Forest brothers". However, Dagestan's law enforcement bodies are taking action about it.

According to the investigations in Dagestan, the "Forest brothers" was established by an Arabic terrorist called Kvase Caffon (it is one of his names) several years ago. He fought in Chechen field commander Khattab's group in 2001. Kvase Caffon passed Georgia when he was wounded and Armenians treated him secretly in Akhalkalak hospital. He joined the "Forest brothers" again and expanded the organization's activity after that.

Kvase Caffon is said to have established supports in the northern regions of Azerbaijan in late 2001.Though he was reported to be killed, it is not known exactly whether he' alive or dead.
Some buried ammunitions and food products were found in forestland in Khachmaz and Gusar regions of Azerbaijan in November, 2005.The ammunitions and food products were said to belong to the "Forest brothers" that time.

The law enforcement bodies have not detained any suspect related to this fact in Azerbaijan yet.
