Foreign Minister received UN special rapporteur

The Azerbaijan Foreign Minister (FM) Elmar Mammadyarov has received the UN Commission special rapporteur on Human Rights and Freedom of religion or belief Mrs. Asma Jahangir.

During the meeting Mammadyarov directed the attention to the problem of freedom of conscience and belief in Azerbaijan, religious tolerance, joint existing of various religious confessions representatives.

The rapporteur noted availability of the religious politicization problem in the world. Mrs. Jahangir noted also tolerance in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
