FM spokesman: Statement of Armenian president is destructive

Accordding to Trend, Kocharian has recently stated on possibility of taking 3 steps by Armenia – recognition of Nagorno Karabakh, define the authorities for it and consolidate the security belt around Karabakh.

"The statement was obviously made in favor of internal interests. On the one hand it exactly defines he character of Armenian role in the conflict, on the other hinders the development of the negotiations," Tagizade stressed.

"Despite long-period aggression and occupation of its territory, Azerbaijan continues its loyalty to peace talks and considers the statement as impediment for development in the peace process," Tagizade underscored.
