Wolfgang Sporrer: "European Parliament is not Christian club"

As APA reports, he said that European parliamentarians' views do not represent positions of their countries.

To the question whether the European Parliament is aware of destruction of historical and cultural monuments in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, Wolfgang Sporrer answered: "You would better address this question to the European Parliament members."

To the question "Do you think the European Parliament is really a Christian club?" Mr.Sporrer said that Christian delegates dominated in the European Parliament, but it's not a religious organization. It was established on the basis of democratic values.

"Most of these values - freedom, tolerance, democracy, economic freedom exist in Christian states as well as in Muslims countries. The European Parliament is not a Christian club," Mr. Sporrer stated.
