Statement on refugees and IDPs in Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia included to PACE's spring session.

The project of document has been prepared by Boris Silevich Latvian co reporter of PACE migration, refugee and population committee.

According to ANS, the statement said that the situation South Caucasus with refugees and IDPs prevents from these countries economic and social-political development.

Efforts for regulation of Nagorno Karabakh conflict are still irrational. Skirmishing on the borders still goes on. The destiny of missed persons is unknown. As humanitarian aids to refuges becomes heavier to meet needs. Defining amount of peoples of this category is very hard.

It is also mentioned in the document that more of these peoples are the refugees left their houses in result of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Article #13 says that people in Azerbaijan can be divided into 3 groups: IDPs from Karabakh, other occupied regions and refugees from Armenia. Azerbaijan's position was totally reflected in the report.
