The spokesman said the Iranian government has always paid due attention to helping Azerbaijan to maintain its
independence, progress and development.
"Certain domestic and foreign elements inside and outside Azerbaijan are making attempts to create obstacles in the way of expansion of Tehran-Baku relations," he said.
These elements, he added, should be differentiated from Azeri officials.
Stressing that serious measures should be taken within the framework of mutual agreements to confront such currents, he warned that continuation of such moves would harm Tehran-Baku relations.
