Turkish embassy comes under Armenian terror threat

27 April 2006 [09:11] - TODAY.AZ
A number of media have released reports suggesting the Turkish embassy in Baku came under a threat of a terrorist act on the day of the fake Armenian genocide.

According to  AssA-Irada, the publications said that Armenian nationalists who attempt to stage attacks on the compounds of Turkey's embassies in various countries of the world on April 24 every year, tried to commit a similar terror act in the Azeri capital.

The embassy said in a statement on Wednesday that it was aware of such threat, as Turkish security bodies informed the diplomatic representation of the possibility of a terror act.

A special police center had been contacted and security tightened around the embassy building. Additional police force was immediately pulled up to the site. The embassy did not come under an attack.
