Nikol Pashinyan's shame is assessed by Vardan Oskanian

"It's not scary to die. It's scary that after death they will make a film and Bezrukov will play you," this phrase is attributed to the wonderful Soviet theater and film actor Valentin Gaft. It was an ironic statement addressed to the Russian actor Bezrukov, who managed to play a variety of characters in the cinema, from Yesenin to Vysotsky, eventually giving them another movie character - Sasha Bely from the TV series "Brigade".

A similar situation has developed in Armenia. Current and former artists of the local political scene perform there with New Year's wishes, based on their own selfish interests. One of them is former Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian. He has been trying to loudly remind himself of himself for a long time, having found a job and acquired at least some kind of current status. He has no feeling of disgust from the word at all.

I remember that he even considered the proposal of the Russian-Armenian oligarch Ruben Vardanyan. The current prisoner of the Baku pre-trial detention center, who was previously one of the leaders of the Karabakh junta, offered Oskanian a truly anecdotal "position" - head of the "foreign ministry" of "Artsakh". And the one who once headed the Foreign Ministry of some country, but still a real one, agreed to pose as the "chief diplomat" of a classic soap bubble.

To Oskanian's sadness and sorrow, the soap bubble burst very quickly. Azerbaijan has fully restored its sovereignty and territorial integrity by detaining and transporting the leaders of the Karabakh junta to Baku, including the patron of Vardan Minasovich by the name of Vardanyan. Which, of course, the retired goat drummer, namely Oskanian's current status, periodically recalls.

He longs for their release, for all the leaders of the Karabakh junta in Baku. He seems to have forgotten the saying about the whistling of cancer on the mountain. Oskanian feigns optimism. It is clear that the physiognomic features of this character deprive the citizens of Armenia of the opportunity to accurately understand when he is optimistic and when he is pessimistic. At the same time, Vardan Minasovich's desire to replicate fantasies disguised as facts is visible and somehow not particularly hidden.

"Today there is an opportunity to realize their right to return. The international community is ready to put this issue on the agenda, it only remains for the Armenian authorities to protect it," said the former head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, referring to the Armenians who illegally lived in the temporarily occupied territories of Azerbaijan. It is even inconvenient to remind Oskanian that this group of Armenians will not have such an opportunity until all the Azerbaijanis who were forcibly expelled from there return to Armenia.

But, as they said in school, repetition is the mother of learning. Accordingly, I would like to remind the former Foreign Minister of Armenia that soon only cats will be born and it is ridiculous to put a cart before a horse. Vardan Minasovich regularly makes attempts of this kind, but predictably unsuccessfully. This is also the result of his attempts to present the current Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, as a "scapegoat."

Oskanian convinces himself, first of all, as well as the Armenian public that "Pashinyan has exhausted himself, the people are tired of defeats, losses, abuses, arrogance of the authorities and their manipulations." Without stopping at simply voicing an assessment of Nikola Vovaevich's activities, the former diplomat proceeded to announce a toast, again passing off his dream as a national opinion.

"It's time for Pashinyan to think about resigning, it would be the best New Year's gift for the Armenian people so that the country can be brought out of the current situation," he said. It is worth adding here that the other day Oskanian tried to get involved in a correspondence dispute between Pashinyan and the first, second and third presidents of Armenia. Nikol Vovaevich challenged them to a debate. They refused. Oskanian tried to replace them, but then Pashinyan did not respond to Oskanian's attempts.

And it was logical. After all, no matter how many opinion polls have been conducted, they demonstrate that it is Pashinyan who is the most popular Armenian politician. Yes, in general, his rating is not high, but it is several times higher than that of Ter-Petrosyan, Kocharyan, Sargsyan. But Oskanian is not mentioned at all in the polls. Because his real rating is somewhere around the zero mark. These are the Armenian realities.

And finally, I would like to state that the situation is worth special study, in which the most popular politician in Armenia is the one who made its war inevitable and, consequently, its defeat by Azerbaijan. At the same time, Pashinyan should recall the phrase of the inimitable Gaft. Indeed, the scary thing is not that Nikol Vovaevich is remembered for a series of political fiascos, but for the fact that Vardan Oskanian gives him an assessment.
