President of Republic of Suriname sends letter of condolences to President Ilham Aliyev

Chandrikapersad Santokhi, President of the Republic of Suriname, has sent a letter of condolences to President Ilham Aliyev on the tragic AZAL plane crash near Aktau, Kazakhstan.

His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Excellency,

We are truly saddened by the news about the tragic plane crash on 25 December 2024, in which precious lives were lost and many were injured.

On behalf of the Government and People of the Republic of Suriname, I extend sympathy and sincere condolences to the Government and People of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families, who have lost their loved ones. It is our hope that the injured passengers will have a speedy and full recovery.

May the Almighty give you and your People the strength to endure this tragedy.
