French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barraud stated with pathos
that Paris is ready to consider sending troops to Greenland if Denmark requests
assistance. He remarked, "No one dares to play with our borders,"
even if those borders are located 3,000 km from Paris and covered in ice.
Barraud assured that if necessary, France would be there.
However, sending troops to Greenland isn't a simple task: it would require
considering how French soldiers will adapt to the cold, whether they will
master dog sledding, and how to differentiate a real navy seal from American
special forces.
It seems the French president is seriously contemplating a
potential conflict with the United States. Perhaps he should consider
consulting a doctor instead?
Macron has faltered in Syria, Ukraine, the Caucasus, and
Africa. Now it seems he’s eyeing the Arctic—he hasn’t embarrassed himself there
yet.
