Pyotr Burdikin: "Zhirinovski's statement doesn't represent official position of Russia"

The diplomat said that Zhirinovski is only party chairman and parliamentarian.

"He has his own approach to the issues," Mr.Burdikin said refusing to comment on personal opinions of the party chairman.

Zhirinovksi has recently said that the unrecognized republics in the former USSR territory, including Abkhazia, Transdnestrovie and Nagorno Karabakh will follow the way of Montenegro and the referendum on Montenegro's independence will be accepted as precedent by the international law, APA reports.
