USAID Project on Azerbaijani Parliament development

According to APA, USAID is now in project negotiations with Milli Majlis with the aim of learning parliament's expectations. James Gogen, USAID Country Coordinator, has reported the media about.

"USAID has two humanitarian projects in Azerbaijan. The first one is Financial Services Provision for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Project, to provide access to financial resources and its efficiency for certain stratum of people. The second one is Community Development Project which is committed in three regions."

Mr. Gogen has said his researches conclude microfinance sector development in Azerbaijan. He has also said that there are some non-banking credit organizations having international standards applied in their work that has made success stories.
