Russian diplomat: "Azerbaijan intends to make use of Russian practice in defense establishment"

Peter Burdikin, Russian Federation Charge d'Affaires to Azerbaijan, has told in his speech to the media.

"The discussion is on training of specialists, purchase and repair of technical equipment. Azerbaijan wants to develop weak relations and to get back missed opportunities. The renewal of connections is mostly suitable for Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan needs to reconstruct weapons and guns made in former Soviet Union," he said.

Burdikin has also added that Azerbaijan was producing equipments and parts for some military technology in Soviet period. Russia is now interested in production and purchase of those parts.

"We are in negotiations now. The Ministry of Defense Industry representatives can study Russian practice. Similar exchange of practice was done during the establishment of Emergency Ministry in Azerbaijan."
