Ali Ahmadov: "Opposition parties are in crisis situation"

"If authority and opposition of Azerbaijan can not sit at table for talks, this is our fault," said Yeni Azerbaijan Party (YAP) executive secretary Ali Ahmadov while expressing attitude to OSCE Baku Office's initiative on re-launching the authority-opposition talks.

According to him, the reason of failure of the dialogue is related to internal forces not making effort. "Not depending on being any side, everyone should realize that cooperation with any international organization can not be for the sake of forgetting national concerns of Azerbaijan. YAP is ready to take any steps for achieving mutual understanding among the parties in Azerbaijan. Simply, we are not satisfied with giving statements."

According to APA, Ali Ahmadov stated the crisis in the opposition parties as a reason for failure of authority-opposition talks. "The process ongoing within the opposition shows that they have neither time to think of dialogue with us nor energy to make step in the dialogue direction."
