Musavat Party to appeal PACE

20 June 2006 [08:41] - TODAY.AZ
Musavat Party is going to appeal to the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly and several other international organizations regarding the non-representation of MPs from the party in the parliamentary delegation to PACE.

Former deputy party leader Vurghun Ayyub told APA that there remained two vacancies in the delegation and were said that parliamentarians from Musavat will be included into it after the re-run of the parliamentary elections.

However, the parliament authorities appointed parliamentarian Fazail Ibrahimli from the Civil Solidarity Party and leader of the Civil Union Party Sabir Hajiyev to these vacancies.

Ayyub also said the persons represented in the delegation under the name of opposition before were not active as opposition.

"As parliamentarians from Musavat took an active part in the work of parliament in the past period, they were not included into the delegation," he said.

Ayyub ruled out any action against the parliament and boycotting of it for that.
