Turkey-Azerbaijan Friendship Park opened in Ceyhan

On Thursday Turkey-Azerbaijan Friendship Park was opened in Ceyhan, Adana of Turkey.

APA correspondent reports that Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev and Turkish Prime Minister Recap Tayyip Erdogan take part in the opening ceremony of the park established by Ceyhan Municipality.

There are monuments of Mustafa Kamal Ataturk and Heydar Aliyev in the park.

Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev spoke of relationship between the two countries in his speech. He said that Ataturk's role in achieving Turkish independence is undeniable.

"And Heydar Aliyev's role is undeniable in strengthening of independence of Azerbaijan and its development. Relationship between the two countries is developing. Opening of BTC Oil Pipeline is an example of this."

Mr. Erdogan also said that relationship between the two countries is developing rapidly.
