According to APA, the NNGOF executive director Faraset Gurbanov said massive fires at Azerbaijani territories is the continuation of the aggressive Armenia's material and moral damage to our country during the past 15 years.
"Armenians do not face any pressures to stop these actions. Therefore, they keep torching the villages and they do it more often now," the executive director said.
Following the large discussion over the matter, the NNGOF adopted statement. The document reads that 20 villages in Agdam, 4 in Terter and 5 in Khojavend have been torched so far devastating flora and fauna, soil and agriculture.
"Setting fire to the forests, which are rare in Europe, is an act of vandalism. The ecological terror committed by Armenia poses danger to not only Azerbaijan but the entire Europe. The forum urges international organizations to press Armenia to prevent this vandalism," the statement concludes.
