Islamists attempt to stage protest outside Israeli embassy

However, Baku police prevented the protesters from coming up to the embassy situated in Hyatt Regency Hotel, APA reports.

The police officers did not allow the protesters to present resolution to the embassy. The protesters attempting to come up to the embassy were detained.

Deputy chief of Yasamal district police office Chingiz Mammadov said to journalists 9 AIP members were detained.

AIP press secretary Gurban Jabrayil said after two-hour detention in the 27th police station, the members were set free. Jabrayil also added the party will further stage protest actions.
