President Aliyev ends visit to Lenkeran

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev today visited southern region of Lenkeran. The head of state first laid a wreath on the monument of the then President Heydar Aliyev in the park named after him.

APA's correspondent accompanying the President reports Mr.Aliyev got acquainted with the construction of Heydar Aliyev Museum and also laid a wrath on the monument of national hero Hazi Aslanov.

Following that, the head of state attended the opening of Lenkeran Diagnostics Center. Addressing to the audience, President Aliyev said this is a rare diagnostics center in the republic. He stressed our regions are developing adding the Baku-Astara main road will be reconstructed. The head of state noted all the east-west main roads will be reconstructed.

The head of state also said some changes were made to the State Program on socio-economic development of regions due to the speedy development in the country adding that the plan of measures also envisages construction of new establishments.

Mr.Aliyev also said minimum salary and pension will rise this year. Following this speech, he surveyed Milk Plant and also attended openings of Clothes Factory and Creative Folk Center.

The President went for a walk in Sahil boulevard and then attended opening of central stadium in Lenkeran. He also attended cornerstone laying of Lenkeran airport. Mr.Aliyev said the new airport will meet modern standards and receive flights of foreign airlines.
The head of state ended his visit to Lenkeran.
