4607 candidates to compete in local elections

4641 of 4686 candidates who have received signature sheets, have presented to the district election commission these sheets and other necessary documents.

The district election commissions have registered 4638 nominees. 3 of them have refused participation in elections, 20 person have withdrawn their candidacy. In municipalities on which 11 candidates were registered, the elections were cancelled.

2126 of the 4607 nominees (of which 250 are women) to take part in elections are neutral candidates, while the others are members of numerous political parties. 1692 observers (734 - independent, 958 - representatives of political parties) will supervise the elections.
