Ali Hasanov: "We are ready to accept Venice Commission's proposals"

"We think the proposal on amendments to the Electoral Code are not topical," Ali Hasanov, President's Office Socio-political Department chief told journalists.

He said Azerbaijan has Electoral Code and the elections were held on this Code. He also said the government is ready to accept the Venice Commission's proposals on this field.

"I do not want to go into the details of these proposals. They exist and we are considering these proposals. The parliament will discuss them in the autumn session," he said.

Hasanov also said there are also proposals for making amendments to the composition of election commissions, APA reports.
