Emergencies Minister meets Belarus ambassador

Azerbaijan's Minister of Emergency Situations, Col.-Gen. Kamaladdin Heydarov today received new Belarus ambassador plenipotentiary and extraordinary to Azerbaijan Nikolay Pastkevich.

Ambassador Pastkevich said there are potential opportunities to develop relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus in all spheres. He said he will make all efforts to reinforce these relations. He also said Azerbaijan is dynamically developing adding there are solid grounds for further strengthening of the country.

Mr.Pastkevish said implementation of joint projects would provide opening of new jobs in Azerbaijan.

He also stressed importance of expanding relations between emergencies bodies of the two countries,the Ministry public affairs office told the APA.

Minister Heydarov said there exist good prospects for expanding the relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus. He informed about the priorities of the Ministry. Talking about the functions of the Emergencies Ministry established by President Ilham Aliyev's order Mr.Heydarov said the Ministry is taking serious actions for prevention of natural and man-made disasters in the country and remove their consequences.

The Minister also said international experience is applied in forming the EM. Application of modern technologies in precautions against emergency situations is also on focus. Mr.Heydarov noted the Ministry is expanding relations with influential international and regional organizations and relevant bodies of foreign countries.
