GUAM's national coordinatros meet in Kyiv

A ceremony on 15th anniversary of independence of Ukraine took place in Kyiv, September 15, organized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The action was held in the frame of session of national coordinators of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development (GUAM), in the course of which passed delivery of awards to representatives of foreign countries the President of Ukraine has awarded with.

For the worthy personal contribution to development of the international cooperation, strengthening of authority and positive image of Ukraine in the world, popularization of its historical and modern achievements, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Republic Elmar Mammadyarov was rewarded with Award "For Merits."

The Awards "For Merits" also has been handed over to the deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov, the first deputy minister of foreign affairs of Georgia Valery Chechelashvili and the deputy minister of foreign affairs and the European integration of Moldova Valeri Ostalep.

Handing over the Awards, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Boris Tarasyuk has noted the strong contribution of national coordinators of GUAM and has wished them successes. B. Tarasyuk has highly assessed the decision accepted by General Assembly of the United Nations on September 13 on inclusion in the agenda of 61st session of the item "The protracted conflicts on territories of the GUAM states and their influence on international peace and development."

The recipients of Awards expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian side for high assessment of their work and assured that would and henceforth make efforts for welfare of the peoples of fraternal countries.
