Said Muganli, editor of "Yarpag" magazine in Iran told the APA the latest edition of the magazine sponsored by the Northern Iran Freedom Movement writes that Azerbaijan is former northern territory Iran, which was occupied during the reign of Shah Abbas Mirza Gajar.
Nazir Alizadeh, author of the article also insulted Azerbaijani historic figure, founder of the 1918 Democratic Azerbaijan Republic Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh.
He pointed out importance of making efforts to liberate these lands noting our compatriots moved from Northern Iran (Azerbaijan) should be granted citizenship of Iran, "Then, our compatriots will understand that they are Iranians and feel like home."
Alizadeh also claimed that the state language is not Turkish in Azerbaijan.
"The language called Azerbaijani is Iranian dialect of Persian words in fact. Azeris not Azeri Turks live in Azerbaijan," he claimed.
