Azerbaijan attends Second Eastern Europe and Central Asia Regional Conference in Kyiv

The conference attended by representatives of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia, was devoted to the topic "International cooperation of prosecutor bodies in the field of legal aid on criminal cases." Representatives of the UN Drug and Criminality-Fighting Department, the International Organization for Migration (IMO), Eurojust, Intrepol, the Council of Europe, OSCE and CIS Coordinating Council attended the event.

Participants discussed the questions concerning cooperation of regional prosecutor bodies, improvement of rendering legal aids, exchanged experience, item of extradition of criminals, the problems of financing of terrorism, money laundering and human trafficking, as well as transnational organized crimes.

Representative of Azerbaijan Rutem Usubov spoke of the role of strengthening of legal cooperation in combat against criminality.

Secretary General of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) Henk Marquart Scholtz estimated this as logic result of active participation of Azerbaijan in the work of Association.
