Andres Herkel and Tony Lloyd to attend meeting on political prisoners

November 2 PACE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteurs Andres Herkel and Tony Lloyd will attend a regular meeting of the working group composed of governmental officials and the representatives of NGOs on the problem of political prisoners, Chingiz Ganizadeh, rights defender, stated.

"The problem of political prisoners will be discussed at the meeting. He expressed dissatisfaction about the last pardon decree issued by President. There are nearly no political prisoners among the pardoned," he said.

At the meeting of the workers group the question on the application of amnesty will be raised. Ganizadeh thinks that the Parliament should issue a law "On Amnesty", APA reports.
