US Ambassador: "US supports free and independent, objective and responsible media"

"US government supports free media," US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne E. Derse told the journalists.

She said that her country supports free and independent, objective and responsible activity of media, APA reports.

"We defend these features as the most important elements of the democracy in the world. We worry about any sign showing the restriction and danger against media. As I mentioned, the existence of free and transparent media is the basis of democracy," the Ambassador said.
