Former representative of Georgian President: "I continue to resist in Svanetiya"

Abkhazia TV said that the video cassette was found in the entrance of Lata village located below the gorge on Tuesday. This territory is under the observation of Abkhazian separatists.

Kvitsani's appeal says that the fire was a warning for Georgian government.
 
"They should know that Svans do not surrender and resist. I am here in Svanetiya and do not plan to go anywhere," he said.

The former representative called to Georgian servicemen, the residents of villages in Codor gorge to leave the territory. Otherwise Georgia Army will be resisted.He also said he regrets that he fighted against Abkhazians.

Kvitsani declared a war against Georgian government in the video cassette presented to Georgian Imedi TV in September.He was Edward Shevarnadze's repesantative in Codor gorge during his presidency.

His volunteers batallion Ovchi was abolished by Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvi’s order in 2005. But Kvitsiani refused to return the guns back. Georgia Law enforcement bodies began operations in Codor gorge for disarming armed group on Jule 25 this year.

Criminal case was launched against Kvitsian on leading armed group,carring gun illegally and high treason and a search was launched against him, APA reports.
