Trilateral Tehran meeting to discuss North-South transport corridor

Azerbaijani, Russian and Iranian railway senior officials will meet in Tehran to discuss the Project on North-South transport corridor, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Transportation Musa Panahov told that the trilateral meeting will take place in late November.

"The principal issue is construction of some 350km railway line coming to Astara in Iran. Issues on the intensification of the construction and completion date will be discussed at the meeting," he said.

Mr. Panahov added that 8.3km railway line and some stations are planned to be built within the project.
