"Azerbaijan and the US has normal relations in all spheres, as well as in the sphere of formation of civil society and democratic development. So we normally accept the statement. We think that freedom of speech, press and political activity will be further ensured, the problems will be investigated and corresponding legal and political steps will be taken to remove them," taking a stance on the statement of the US Department of State concerning the state of press in Azerbaijan, Ali Hasanov the Head of the Social-Political Department of the Presidential Administration told the APA.
He said that favorable conditions have been created for Azadliq newspaper in Azerbaijan Publishing House and place has been allotted for them on the eighth floor of the Publishing House. Ali Hasanov said Caspi newspaper situated in the place offered to Azadliq emptied it.
"Conditions have been created for the Popular Front Party to function in the place allotted for them and move to another place," he said.
Ali Hasanov said that the dialogue between National Television and Radio Council and ANS has already begun and the appeal made by ANS to the NTRC is investigated by the Council.
"We consider that the council taking into account the law about Television and Radio broadcasting will take corresponding steps to regulate the activity of television and radio. The position of the Azerbaijani government on the problem was stated by the President," Ali Hasanov said
