Preliminary trial on Akif Muradverdiyev's appeal to be held Dec 13

It should be noted that the Grievous Crimes Court presided by Judge Tofig Pashyev sentenced him to six years in jail.

Muradverdiyev was convicted in the Article 179.3.2 (embezzlement), 308.2 (abuse of power), 311 (bribery), 313 (fraud) of Criminal Code. But the investigation of criminal case convicted in the Article 28. 278 (staging coup) and 28.220 (coup attempt) is underway.

The former official is being treated in medical institution of Penitentiary Service.

The chief department of Penitentiary Service Rafig Ramazanov told the APA that Muraverdiyev’s health is stable, APA informs.
