Justice Minister meets Christian Strohal

The Minister informed the guest about the democratic reforms conducted in Azerbaijan, and added they are aimed at promoting human rights and freedoms.

Fikrat Mammadov said his country is modernizing its judicial system, stressing the importance of fruitful cooperation with the Council of Europe, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and other international organizations in this field.

Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, Christian Strohal, described Azerbaijan as rapidly developing, noting he hails its judicial reforms.

Mr. Strohal also welcomed the level of cooperation between the OSCE and Azerbaijan.

He stressed the OSCE is ready to further support the democratization process in the country. AzerTAg
