Report on Azerbaijan to be discussed at PACE April session

"Nagorno Karabakh conflict is one of the principal issues on the agenda. At present, I don't see way out of the conflict," said Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe co-reporter for Azerbaijan Andreas Herkel.

"Nagorno Karabakh is de jure Azerbaijani territory. There is injustice and unfairness on the issue. But the sides should compromise basing on the principles of the Council of Europe," he told APA.

Andreas Herkel noted that the preliminary variant of the report on Azerbaijan will be discussed at the meeting of the Monitoring Committee on January next year. The whole report will be discussed at the PACE session in April.
