Iranian Ambassador: "Azerbaijanis rule Iran"

"Azerbaijanis rule Iran. The information about the violation of rights is the result of the propaganda of external forces," Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Efshar Suleimani told the journalists.

He said that over 50 magazines and newspapers are published in Azerbaijan language in Iran.

"Poets and writers can express their ideas in this language freely. There are Azerbaijani speaking departments in the universities," the ambassador said.

The ambassador invited press representatives to Iran to get acquainted with real situation.

"The ancient name of Iran was Persia. And this means Farsi Stan. Some nations did not agree to it and changed its name. Today, there is neither absolute Persian, nor Persian chauvinisms," he underscored.

Stressing that it is possible to investigate the Armenians replacing to Caucasus in Iranian archives, Suleimani noted that he hopes Azerbaijani side will get positive answer, if appeals, APA reports.
