Defense Ministry information service chief, Colonel Ramiz Melikov said that such issue is generally raised by the government, APA reports.
Zahid Oruj, member of Milli Majlis permanent commission for defense, considered this issue possible.
"We intend to propose NATO leadership to set up a special commission. Armenia’s armament should be considered by the organizations responsible for security in Europe," he noted.
Zahid Oruj said that the agreements on cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO, as well as other international organizations, give the opportunity to appeal in this connection.
"NATO has powerful resources to fight against the proliferation of nuclear, chemical and ordinary weapons. The organization can impose sanctions on any country in this field," he said.
