Venice Commission to study project on Azerbaijan's Election Code

The process of studying the project will continue till spring, APA reports.

"The Election Code is a large-scale document. Recommendations of the Venice Commission, the proposals received and the existing document is being studied."

VC noted that Azerbaijani government regularly contacts with them.

"The experts of the Venice Commission and the representatives of the Azerbaijani government will possibly meet until spring. This meeting may either take place in Baku, or Europe."

The VC said it is unknown whether the issue on Azerbaijan will be included on the agenda of the session to be held in March.

The Azerbaijani side presented the project worked out basing on the VC's recommendations concerning the amendments to the election Code in September last year.
