Parties of Consulting Assembly to support YAP candidate in 2008 presidential elections

The parties of the Consulting Assembly decided to support the candidate of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) in 2008 presidential elections.

Chief of Democratic Azerbaijan World Party, chairing the Consulting Assembly Mammad Alizadeh told the APA that they had discussions concerning it.

"Each party was recommended to prepare for the elections and support YAP candidate. There is no official decision about it, but it will be in the process of elections," he said.

Alizadeh said 11 parties are represented in the Consulting Assembly and some parties appealed to the assembly for membership.
