09 February 2007 [17:54] - TODAY.AZ
OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Goran Lennmarker made a speech in Baku State University.

Saying that European Union's borders reach Caspian shores, Lennmarker noted that integration of Black Sea region into the European Union by Ukraine is on the agenda and following it the issue on the three South Caucasian countries will be included on the agenda.

"The decision depends on you. If you want to be a part of Europe we will only be glad. But to be a part of Europe means to accept all the terms and rules of a game. It deals with economic reforms, democratization and other spheres," he said.

Lennmarker said that the European Union is not a new empire where all is governed by a center, but an organization basing on certain values.

"Our cooperation should be based on democratic standards and protection of human rights. Another important principle is security and we should work on it actively," Lennmarker said.

Goran Lennmarker mentioned that one of economic principles of integration into Europe is open borders among the countries, APA reports.
