Former Health Minister claims his innocence

15 February 2007 [17:35] - TODAY.AZ
Former Health Minister Ali Insanov states he is not guilty in charges brought against him.

"I do not plea myself guilty on any paragraph of the Criminal Code," he stated during preliminary hearings.

"I'm a victim of backstreet intrigues and a potential political prisoner. As a result of plots being weaved around my name, I'm still unduly retained in custody," Insanov said.

"As soon as an indictment will be announced, I'll become a political prisoner for the rest of the world," he noted. APA
