President Aliyev meets Mayor of Berlin

Klaus Wowereit said that Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Germany will help political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries reach a new level.

Mayor informed the Azerbaijan's leader about the current and planned Germany's capital city development projects.

He also let the President know that German companies are interested in joining the drinking water supply projects in Azerbaijan.

President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, dwelt on the positive results of the economic reforms implemented in Azerbaijan, and invited German companies for cooperation in agriculture, ICT, machine-building and other fields.

President Aliyev and Mayor Wowereit also exchanged views on the situation in the region.

President said the implementation of the socio-economic program for development of regions has resulted in start of people's moving from cities to the countryside.

He pointed out that although Azerbaijan is now capable to invest in a number of sectors by itself, the experience of reputable German companies would be very useful.

In conclusion, President Ilham Aliyev invited Mayor Wowereit to visit Azerbaijan. AzerTAg
