No document signed on Azerbaijani-Russian border delimitation

Azerbaijani and Russian state commissions on delimitation and demarcation ended their meeting.

Though two sides planned to sign an agreement on borders delimitation and demarcation it did not come true, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov told a briefing.

"Azerbaijan and Russia has negotiated on three uncoordinated areas. Despite the agreements on some issues, we failed to reach complete agreement. The next meeting of the commissions is planned to be held in Daghistan. The exact date of the meeting has not been specified," the deputy minister said.

Khalaf Khalafov highly appreciated the meeting and emphasized that Azerbaijani and Russian president have political will for completing the delimitation process.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Yakovenko said that the expert groups of the delimitation commissions will continue to work to promote agreement. "I am sure the day of agreement is not far," he said. APA
