Lithuanian ambassador presents copy of his credentials to Azerbaijani FM

The ambassador presented copy of his credentials to the minister and said that strengthening the relations with South Caucasian countries is one of the priorities of Lithuanian foreign policy. He said hat opening of Lithuanian embassy in Baku proves it and expressed hope that Azerbaijanis embassy will soon be opened in Lithuania.

Elmar Mammadyarov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and spoke about the development of bilateral relations. The minister mentioned the visit of Lithuanian president to Azerbaijan and noted that the visit created broad prospects for cooperation.

Lithuanian ambassador considered extending the economic relations important and offered to hold joint business forum and exchange of economic experience, the ministry's press service told the APA.
