Rasul Guliyev not to run for 2008 presidential elections unless election law is amended

"Opposition leaders running for presidency should try to establish democratic atmosphere. We are doing our best for this and cooperate with the parties sharing our position," chief of the party Akif Shahbazov told the APA.

Shahbazov said that it is early to debate on Rasul Guliyev’s being single candidate in the election unless the electoral code is amended.

"Expressing position on single candidate may cause discontent. We should first of all change the situation. It will not be difficult to determine single candidate after that," he said.
