Russian Atomstroiexport has suspended supply of cargo destined for Bushehr NPP via Azerbaijan.

The due information was provided by ITAR-TASS with reference to the press service for the company.
According to the spokesman for the company Irina Yesipova, "this is a subject of further talks".
Atomstroiexport undertook the step after thermal-insulation cargo from Russia was arrested on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border on May 29. After Russia presented documents, the cargo was released and its receipt was confirmed in Iran.
In December of 2007, head of Atomstroiexport Sergey Shmatko said that Bushehr NPP will be commissioned no earlier than late 2008. Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchohr Mottaki announced that the plant will work 50% of its capacities until summer 2008.
It is not ruled out that due to the detainment of equipment in Azerbaijan the launching will be delayed.
