Nasimi district court rejects Ali Kerimli's appeal about issuing foreign passport

27 May 2008 [09:36] - TODAY.AZ
The Nasimi district court considered the appeal of Azerbaijan's Popular Front Party chairman Ali Kerimli regarding the issue of foreign passport to him, said party chairman Ali Kerimli.
"In the near future I intend to appeal to the Appellate Court on the said issue", noted he,

It should be added that the term of the foreign passport of the party chairman expired in summer of 2006, yet the law enforcement bodies do not issue a foreign passport to Kerimli due to the criminal case, instituted against him on September 10 of 1994. Kerimli was charged with storage of two anti-tank missiles.

Later the case was suspended and since that time the leader of the party has obtained foreign passports in 1996-2991 and 2001-2006 and been elected Milli Medjlis deputy.
