Azerbaijan's Green Party holds talks on cooperation with five opposition parties

The Green Party of Azerbaijan has appealed to leaders of Azerbaijani opposition parties, represented in the coalition of five, with a request to admit the political structure to the coalition, said party chairman Mais Gulaliyev.

He said currently four parties, represented in the coalition-Azerbaijan's Democratic Party, public forum "For the sake of Azerbaijan", Tereqqi and National Independence Party have agreed for cooperation.

Musavat party representatives promised to consider this issue at the next session of the party.

This issue was also considered at the last session of the five but no definite decision was adopted on it. The party was informed that the issue is to be settled in the near future.

"If the party fails to agree on the cooperation with the five, we will hold talks with political structures, which expressed intention to participate in the presidential elections and create another association.

I think this association will be more effective, as we will make efforts to conduct joint monitoring, for formation of electoral commission on the party basis and settlement of a number of other issues on elections.

At the same time, our party prefers cooperation with the five", he noted.
